hello! i'm buddygart! yep thats my name. I go by the artist name Cloverpillar online. i use any pronouns and am fine to being referred to with both gendered and gender-neutral terms. depending on how i feel i may make and draw characters that represent me lean more feminine, masculine or androgynous, but i'm really fine with being called anything at the end of the day. (unless i state otherwise :*P)

i've been making art for as long as i can remember now, but not counting coloring books, i started making art at around 7 or so years of age. i vividly remember drawing endermen and creepers on a tiny dry-erase board in the downstairs area of my family's old house. it then extended to fnaf drawings in notebooks, sometimes on doors and walls... and then making my own characters... then getting an ipad and making animation memes on flipaclip... it spiralled. (positive)

i've kind of thought of my site as an extension of that. i want somewhere people can view my art... but why not make the website art, as well? why have it be boring and drab, black and white, when it can be BIG!! and BOLD!! and COLORFUL!! and fun, so so Fun !!! sooooo yeaaah.....

i haven't been posting my art for as long as i've been making it, but it's definitely close. i think i first started posting art onto the internet at around 10-11? i would post my old flipaclip "animations" (which were basically just slideshows at the time, featuring characters with heads cobbled together with the help of the circle tool).

i also REAAALLY got into the groove of posting my art on "social media platforms" at arooouuund late 10 to early 11. if that way of referring to age even makes much sense. i put social media in air quotes but, the app i posted my art to, PopJam, was basically just "babies first social media". it had chat censors with emojis and detected if any photos you uploaded mentioned other social media sites. which i remember were HELL to work around when it shut down in early 2023.

some more about me, unrelated to my journey as an artist:

-below this you will see a whoooole biiiig list of my interests, but my current MAIN interests are Tamagotchi, Regretevator, and rhythm games (especially BEMANI games and even more specifically pop'n music's the one i play the most. but i still like learning about new rhythm games ESPECIAAALLY the weird obscure ones.)

-quite possibly my (current) biggest claim to fame is that when i was around 10 or so i made a Beanie Boo Roleplay Game on Roblox dot Com. yeah.

-i got a couple stickers in Regretevator. i think thats Awesome. my Second Biggest Claim to Fame... maybe you have them...

-my favorite flavor of ice cream is chocolate :PPP

-first mainline pokemon game i played was Black 2. god i love Unova. God i love Snivy

-the name Buddygart actually originated from an inside joke between me and my friends. when we were playing roblox a kid who was probably like. 8. asked me "are you this buddygart". i later changed my display name to buddygart because we thought it was funny and it stuck. and now i Actually Use Buddygart

-that brown dog you keep seeing is my sona, Sadie! also acts as a Regretevator self-insert. :*]
